Dashti Design was founded in 2021 in a Downtown Los Angeles studio — one drafting table, a couple of laptops, and the conviction that California's coastal cities deserved an architecture practice as ambitious as the homes they hold.
Project by project, the studio grew. From a single ADU in the first month to dozens of custom homes in the first year, we earned our way out of DTLA and into our current Newport Beach studio — where we lead the work today.
We're young. We're ambitious. And we've quietly built a portfolio that stretches from Ventura County to San Diego — coastal hillsides in Malibu, equestrian estates in Hidden Hills, custom homes in Newport Coast, multi-family in Long Beach, fire rebuilds across Altadena. One studio. Two-hundred-mile reach.

Ali Dashti
Founded Dashti Design in 2021 in Downtown LA. Leads design direction and client strategy across all projects, from Newport coastal homes to Altadena fire rebuilds.
Kimia Motamedi
Owns the path from permit submittal to certificate of occupancy. The reason our projects don't stall in plan check.

Translates client visions into design narratives. Your primary contact from first conversation through final walk-through.

Shapes how the studio's work reaches developers, families, and partners across Southern California. Runs our drone, video, and visualization work.
