When the Palisades, Altadena, and Eaton fires hit, Dashti Design was on the ground within days. We're now leading 38 rebuilds across all three burn zones — 9 already permitted and ready to break ground in Altadena, with active design work across the Palisades and Malibu. We're still designing for every family who needs us, no matter how complex the lot or how long the path.
Within 48 hours of the Eaton fire being contained, our founder Ali Dashti was on the ground in Altadena — walking lots that were still warm, meeting families on parcels where their homes had stood the week before. The rebuild work started here, before a single line was drawn.

"We didn't pitch anyone. We just showed up. The drawings came later."
Behind every permit number is a family who lost a home and chose us to help them rebuild it. These are the addresses we're seeing through across all three burn zones — Altadena, Palisades, and Malibu — from first sketch to certificate of occupancy. Two were canceled at the owner's request — but the work was still done.
We meet on your lot or over the phone. No paperwork. No pressure. Just listening.
We document existing conditions, decode your policy, and pull the historical record.
Like-for-like or reimagined — we draw both, and we file the permits ourselves.
The technical reviews that derail other rebuilds are routine for us.
We stay involved through construction. The first night back is the goal.
"Ali called the day after we lost the house. He drove up the hill the next morning. We hadn't even talked to our insurance yet — and he was already drawing the front elevation on the back of an envelope. We're not rebuilding alone."
